** Unfortunately, Regis can no longer make it. Volvox steps up in his place.

Anthony Parasole is a figurehead in modern NY techno and an absolute menace in the booth. His roots in techno go deep: born and raised in Brooklyn, he was exposed to electronic music in the ‘90s, built connections as the dance music buyer for Halcyon Records and established the hugely influential Deconstruct Music. As a DJ, he’s able to move across the field with fluidity and ease, but it’s his techno sets that have solidified his reputation. Blinding, rugged but mixed with a tight finesse and an open, breathing atmosphere, Parasole’s pacing can easily stretch set lengths into the double digits. His more recent productions for his label The Corner call back to the classic techno of his youth, bringing the unfussed rawness without pandering to nostalgia. Volvox steps up. Her unstoppable mix of scorching techno, tough, jacking percussion and colossal, industrial strength magnitude have made her an international concern. Whether you've seen her in one of Brooklyn's DIY haunts or playing for thousands on the European festival circuit, Volvox's sets always make an impact. Ukrainian DJ Ana B is one of NY’s leading voices. Mixing slinky industrial, bruising techno and a generous amount of genre cross pollination, her sets always keep the energy up. A regular at BASEMENT, Ana B is proving to be a standout in a crowded field.

Justin Cudmore takes a night off his regular Balance party to play STUDIO. The Bunker artist always lands a perfect sweet spot between techno and house, picking classic canonical entries and hot-off-the-presses bangers in equal measure. His mixes hit an effervescent flow with a snaky aggression, well matched by his excellent productions. “Acid Truth,” a recent track on Fort Rameau’s Cin Cin, subsumes his devilish 303 lines in a cloud of smoke, finding a pocket of undeniable allure in fizzy space. Relaxer and SPF 50 meet up for a b2b. The two artists are frequent collaborators, sharing a love of tripped out bangers, rugged minimalism and bouncing, punkish grit. On their respective recent EPs - SPF 50’s “Secret Technology” and Relaxer’s “Candy” - they each deliver their own take on gnarly, technoid syncopations. SPF 50 glides through dubby atmospheres, unafraid to tease an anthemic moment, while Relaxer turns the screw with tense bass workouts and ferocious synth attacks. In their b2bs they bring out the best in each other, upping the energy and going for the jugular with glee.
