BASEMENT: Function / Lydo / Katie Rex
STUDIO: Cinthie / JadaLareign / Savile

FETISH ATTIRE MANDATORY

Function returns to BASEMENT for BOUND Blackout. Few techno artists can match the quality and influence of his work. Sandwell District founder; Infrastructure label boss; Bassiani resident; Limelight resident; Ostgut Ton recording artist… The list goes on. But it’s not the stellar affiliations that make him so revered; Function commands instant respect based on the quality of his music above all else. Entrancing, immaculate and often deeply emotive, his tracks stand as platonic ideals of icy, mysterious techno. Not one to rest on his laurels, Function has continued to evolve, with new releases on none other than Tresor. BASEMENT resident Lydo steps up. One of NY’s standout talents, Lydo’s artistry has been growing by leaps and bounds over the past few years. Solidly rooted in techno, they’ve proven themselves to be a fearless selector and a visionary guide through sonic worlds both spacious and impactful, anthemic and elusive. Unrestrained by orthodoxy, Lydo is charting their own path. Organizer Katie Rex is the force behind BOUND and better equipped than anyone to embody the party’s ethos. Her sets are scorching, full throttle rundowns of techno’s most careening and exciting forms.

Berlin DJ Cinthie is a national treasure. A veteran DJ, her involvement in the city’s house music underground goes back to the early ‘90s. Starting as a teenager, she soon found her footing and began developing her personal style: rooted in the lush, transportive side of Chicago and NY house, her sets are truly expressive and lifegiving affairs. Her resume includes membership in the Beste Modus collective, running We_R House and Unison Wax, and more recently the 803 Crystal Grooves label. Decades into her career, she remains a tireless devotee of house music and a true artist. JadaLareign is one of NY’s foremost house DJs. Similarly grounded in a classic sound, Lareign’s sets are immersive journeys through Black expression, with a pronounced focus on community. In recent years, Lareign has released on Haus of Altr and Sorry Records, bringing out the tough and even menacing side of her DJ sets. In a crowded field, Lareign’s charisma and vision make her impossible to miss. Smart Bar resident Savile makes their STUDIO debut. Their sets glow with a rugged spirituality, emphasizing the crisp, urgent intensity of the midwest dance music they were raised on. Espousing a strong anti-industry ethos, Savile ignores convention for pure musicality.
